Facilitating Self-Expression and Social Engagement in Older Adults with Mild Cognitive Impairment

PostArt is a simple, easy-to-use tool for older adults with Mild Cognitive Impairment to create digital postcards for family and friends. In addition to creating, they can share and view postcards created by other members. The goal of PostArt is to facilitate self-expression and social engagement in older adults with MCI in the Cognitive Empowerment Program. The tool supports self-expression in users by allowing them to use three different kinds of inputs (drawing, writing, and audio recording) as they create a postcard for someone or for the community. And the social engagement piece is supported by allowing users to interact with other members in their cohort, from different cohorts, and the community at large.
